Fieldtrip to the Zoo

We went to the Zoo with Trinity's preschool class today. It was the AM and PM classes together so there were 20 kids all together. It was not very warm and it rained part of the time. We had a good time. Each adult had 2 kids to keep track of so that made the day pretty stress free and easy.

At one point it was a pretty good down pour of rain but we just took shelter and ate lunch. By the time we were all done eating the rain stopped and we were off again looking at the animals.

We went on the short train ride around the Zoo which gave us all a chance to sit and relax. It gets you a little closer to some of the animals so the kids enjoyed that. There is a long train ride that goes to the Portland Rose Gardens and a huge playground but we didn't have time for that today. When I take my kids next time we will probably take the long train ride.

The kids all got new animal hats to wear so we could easily see them in a crowd. Not that there were any crowds today but you never know. All of the kids were really good!

I love the hat!! Yoy got lucky only having 2 kids. When I volunteer for the kids' field trips, I always seem to get the ADHD kids and always groups of 4. LOL!! At least it feels that way.

Thank you for your sweet comment, I am sad that you had to work on Mothers Day, but at least you got to celebrate it on Saturday...I think that moms should be celebrated everyday though!!!
