Kind of a blah week

It doesn't happen too often but our week was kind of boring. Not much happened. Trinity went to the Dr. to get a rash looked at (it was nothing). She weighs in a 35lbs. Just for fun we weighed Nicholas too, he weighs 36lbs.

We went and visited Mana and Papa (my parents) last night. Trinity tried to get Papa to play leapfrog with her. If he didn't have a torn rotator cup I bet he would have tried =)

I guess I had an exciting moment at Safeway yesterday. They had pork tenderloins on sale this week buy one get one free. They are almost better than a good steak if you cook them right. I paid $9.99 for 2 instead of $9.99 each. They are easy to cook, all of us will eat it and I love them. Throw in some mashed potatoes and a vegetable and it's a quick very YUMMY meal.

I guess it ca be viewed as a good thing when the highlight of my week was pork loins being on sale.

If only it could last forever...

Friday is our cleaning day. I clean all week but Friday is the day we get a good mopping in and wipe everything down. Trinity and Nicholas always fight over who gets to clean what. They have their own spray bottles (just water in the bottles of course) and rags. They clean their playroom, their bedrooms and they even help sweep and mop the kitchen floor.

As I watch them do this I can't help but wonder when the fight about cleaning will be between them and myself. It's not always going to be this easy to get them to help with house work. However, for now I will take full advantage of the help.

Seaside, OR 4/12/08

Trinity and I at the beach

Dominick and I took the kids to Seaside, OR on Saturday. It was beautiful and we had a great time. It seemed like we had a hard time finding a parking spot because of all the people who had the same idea we did. But after we parked and started walking around it didn't seem like there were that many people.

First things first, we had to stop at the little mall and use the bathroom (it's so nice not having to change diapers anymore). The kids went on the carousal that is in the mall. Then we went on a few rides. Trinity loved the tilt-a-whirl. I had to go on it with her because Dominick gets very motion sick. Next we all went on the bumper cars. Surprisingly, Nicholas really liked the bumper cars. We then had to find a kite shop because somehow we lost our kite string at home. We found some string and walked down to the beach and flew our kites. I had to chase Trinity's kite down twice because she let go of the string. It's good thing it was not a normal windy day at the beach or the kite would be gone.

Trinity loves water so she wanted to go swimming but we had to explain to her that it was not a good day to swim in the ocean. So she was just going to put her feet in a little bit. We ended up having to change her whole outfit. She can't help it, she's part fish.

Nicholas didn't like the sand... or the water... and he really didn't like the wind blowing on his face. He sat on our beach mat, ate some crackers and leaned over enough to play with the shovel in the sand.

After we got Trinity out of the water and into some dry clothes we ate some ice cream on waffle cones. Then we ate some food at a little diner. I know I know dessert before real food but it was the direction we were going. By the time we were done eating the kids were done for the day. Perfect timing, we got back into the car and they slept most of the way home.

She's gonna be a Rockstar

Trinity told me yesterday that she is going to be a rock star. She put on her big pink sunglasses and had her pink sparkly purse with her. I record Trinity singing along to songs without her knowing it. I have some pretty funny song clips saved of her. There is one when she is singing Butterfly Kisses and it comes to the part where is says "...I must have done something right, to deserve butterfly kisses at night..." Trinity sang "...I must have done something wrong..."

Last night Trinity "wrote" a song and sang it to Dominick and I. She had the song "written" on her paper and she danced (more like a full body spasm or like "Elaine" from Seinfeld.) Her song went like this;

"It's way more fun to write a song when frogs and birds all sing along. Hey you you I don't like you girlfriend. Hey you you, you need a new one. That's the only one I got"

I am pretty sure the first part of her song came from "Miss Spider's Sunny Patch Friends" and the second part is from Avril Lavigne's song called "Girlfriend"

Well, it's beautiful outside and I should probably be doing something that involves being outside right now. We are going to the beach tomorrow. I will be posting a blog and pictures about that. It will be my car's first trip to the beach.

My First Time

Well, lets just start with who I am. I am Yvonne, wife of Dominick, mom of Trinity and Nicholas. Dominick and I have been married for almost 7 years. We have two energy filled children. Trinity thinks she is the boss and she "knows everything" at just 4-1/2 years old. Watch out world she is going to be a fun one!! My not so little little boy Nicholas is 2-1/2. He loves riding his bike, scooter or quad.

My kids could not be more opposite if they tried. Nicholas likes to eat Trinity doesn't. Trinity would stay up late every night if it was her choice. Nicholas is more of a morning person. Nicholas is a little timid when it comes to new things, Trinity jumps in with both feet before looking.

I work part time at Best Buy. I love my job and I look forward to moving up with the company over time. I love the outdoors, hiking, biking, of roading in our Jeep Cherokee. I don't mind getting my hands (or more) dirty. I also love my computer, playing World of Warcraft, listening to my music and playing with Photoshop.

Dominick is the Operations Manager of a company called Night and Day furniture. He loves his job even when he gets really busy. He also loves to play outdoors. He is very excited for the warm weather to get here so we can do more outside.

***

Trinity just handed me a card that she made. She said "it's a singing card, open it" So I opened it and she jumped behind a chair and started singing "I love you, I love you, I love you Mommy!!" She is so funny sometimes.
