Chickenpox or bug bites??

Trinity got the second half of her chickenpox vaccine on the 4th. A few days ago she broke out in little red dots. Two on her forehead, 2 on the back of her left leg, one on the front of her right leg and two on her butt. I looked into it thinking it could not be chickenpox because she has been vaccinated against it. It turns out you can still get chickenpox it's just normally a mild case.

Today the dots look the same as they did a few days ago. She is not itching them and she doesn't have any other symptoms. From what I have read if they were chickenpox they would have been filled with puss by now and itchy.

I sent an e-mail to her Dr with some pictures of the dots. Her Dr doesn't think they are chickenpox because they are not following the pattern of chickenpox. Maybe they are bug bites. She has been playing out side quite a bit lately. She is prone to bug bites for some reason. If there is a bug that bites anywhere around it will find her.

I just thought it was weird that a week after her vaccine she broke out.

Getting a mild reaction does happen sometimes. When Ryan was little, he broke out in a small case of chicken pox after receiving the shot. It was about a week later. He didn’t seem to be bothered by them, but his pediatrician said that it was pox.
If she seems fine, I wouldn’t worry too much.
